Victorian Painted Pine Chest of Drawers
This antique chest of drawers dates from the late nineteenth century. It is constructed from solid pine and has been overpainted in white. The chest consists of two small drawers over three long drawers. The chest retains turned mahogany handles and locks, but please note that no keys are present. The chest is supported on turned feet.
Condition: Overall this chest would benefit from some restoration work. The paintwork is grubby, chipped and worn, and there are some areas of damaged and wood loss. The bottom drawer base is loose. The chest has been cut in half at some point to aid with moving it upstairs. The lower strip of moulding is loose at one side and missing at the other. The back panels are loose. There are some signs of old woodworm - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.
The approx measurements are as follows:
100cm high, 104cm wide, 52cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
