Victorian oak Arts and Crafts small hall stand
This is a very good oak hall stand. It is late Victorian and made very much in the Arts and Crafts style of the day. The hall stand has good proportions, it is tall but not especially wide so it will not overpower your space. The design with the open mid section means it is light and airy as Arts and Crafts antique furniture can be at its best.
There is a lot of quality in this hall stand. Look at the beautiful inlay in contrasting woods to the tulip designs, look at the shape to the crest and hat shelf. The hall stand has a glove drawer (ideal for car keys), an oval bevelled mirror in very good order, its original drip trays and very decoratively shaped coat hooks. One is damaged and I will find a replacement from the period to match.
This is a beautiful quality piece and will look good in a period or more modern setting.
