Victorian Metamorphic Centre Table
An unusual and good quality mahogany "rise and fall" freestanding dumb waiter. The book matched quarter veneered top with thumb moulded edge and resting on a quarter veneered frieze with applied mouldings. Supported by well carved scroll and leaf brackets and joined to the stretcher base with further carving and applied cartouches. The shaped stretcher with carved and pierced decoration and the whole standing on platform bases with raised feet and sunken castors. The top shelf lifts on end supports and clicks into place to offer 2 shelves for display/serving. A very good quality piece with with several possible uses- centre table,side table, dumb waiter, sofa table. Good working condition, fully cleaned and waxed. Delivery to most of U.K. £65.
