Handsome Victorian Wellington chest of drawers in a lovely rich mahogany. The 10 graduated drawers with oak linings and turned knob handles are of a solid dovetailed construction. The locking bar swings open on hinges to allow easy access to the drawers and comes with working key. Like all antiques there are imperfections however this is solid chest with a rich colouring and amazing graining. A very useful and attractive item and always very popular as they fit into so many places in your home providing fantastic storage.
The Antique Wellington Chest was named after the famous Duke of Wellingtons victory of 1815. Antique wellington Chests are tall and narrow chests, usually with seven working drawers, one for every day of the week.
