Victorian Mahogany Fitted Triple Wardrobe
A super quality Victorian mahogany three door wardrobe dating to c.1860. It features a domed cornice with arched mirror door which opens to reveal four linen slide shelves above three graduated drawers with brass handles and dovetail joins. The shelves could easily be removed and replaced with a hanging rail if preferred.
The arched fielded panelled side doors each conceal a 52cm deep (20 1/2in) hanging section with a brass rail
and there is a shoe drawer to one side. Unfortunately, we do not have a key but the doors are fitted with their original wooden knob handles and Cope & Collinson locks. Cope & Collinson were a well known firm who supplied fittings of the highest quality to the best cabinetmakers of the time including Holland & Sons and Gillows.
This wardrobe is in good condition for its age. The mirror has been replaced at some point so is nice & clear. As is often the case the polish has gone rough on the sides and there are veneer losses from edges including to the top side of the centre door. There is a larger chip missing from the very back of the plinth on the left side.
Finally, the twist open action on the right and centre doors does not work but a roller or magnetic catch could be added if required.
Width - 84 1/2in (215cm)
Depth - 25 1/2in (65cm)
Height - 90 3/4in (230.5cm)
Internal Depth - 20 1/2in (52cm)
For transportation and moving this wardrobe splits into six sections (cornice, plinth, right hanging section, left hanging section, central drawer section & central mirror door).

Delivery We can arrange to deliver this to most UK mainland destinations for £95, delivery is usually within 31 days. Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
