A handsome antique Victorian mahogany desk with drawers. In mellow well figured mahogany it stands on elegant slender ring turned legs. It has a gallery back above two drawers flanking a central dummy drawer, each with brass swan neck handles. A well-proportioned piece quite wide but also quite shallow, offering lots of work space but not too large. This piece was probably made originally as a serving table or hall table, but makes a wonderful desk.

Solid and sturdy. Good colour. Small split to gallery top to one side. Other marks, scuffs and wear commensurate with age.
