This is an antique, Victorian, Jacobean revival side table, c.1880.

Robust in dark English oak, this attractive table is raised on turned feet into boxed joints. United by bobbin stretchers, the legs unusually feature carved detail tracing the helix of the broad set barley twists.

The frieze features lunette carving above open swagged scroll decoration to all sides, beneath the most delightful top displaying attractive grain detail and colour, framed with a broad carved border of reciprocating 'C' scrolls set in from a moulded edge.

A striking table of good proportion and interest. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
