This beautiful long antique chain has very pretty varieagated links.

A Victorian 9ct gold long-guard or muff chain with fob attachment. The chain is made up twist links - alternating pairs of small links (2.5mm each with longer single links (5mm). The colour is a pale rose gold - not very coppery. The chain is 145cm long (72.5 doubled) and does not undo. In addition, it has an attached fob clasp (20mm long) and a short independent length of the chain (35mm long ). These are attached and the chain is joined by a small ring (not soldered closed). The fob attachment is marked 9Ct. The rest of the chain is not marked, but is also 9 carat gold. However, the joining ring is a different colour and probably not gold. The weight is a solid, but wearable 23.5g.

I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking.
