A very attractive country Victorian narrow fruitwood bench. It sits on four square legs that are tenoned through the top and secured with a traditional peg method. The underside has convex shape to leave more strength in the timber. Each end is finished with a half round design.
There is some historic rot to the base of the legs probably were it has sat on a flag stone floor.
Possible a school bench, but would make a great window seat.
