Victorian Forester Majolica Pond Lily Sardine Box
An English majolica sardine box with integrated tray and cover by Thomas Forester in a cobalt blue ground decorated with moulded water / pond lilies and dragonflies and a bird finial of a sparrow. Pink glazed inside. c.1880.
It measures 10.5cm (4 1/4") high and 22cm (8 5/8") by 18.5cm (7 1/4") wide.
In good condition some very good professional restoration to one of the wings and a corner of the cover. The pink ground to the base is crazed with some discolouration. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
