An elegant Victorian mahogany x-framed stool with upholstered seat, c19th C. This deceptively simple design of this stool is shown in the "London Chairmakers guide (Plate 6)" of 1823. Made of mahogany, concave upholstered seat, turned handrails and stretchers. Recently recovered in Timorous Beasties jute fabric, the stool is on very good condition overall.
