This is an original Victorian chaise lounge that has been completely re-upholstered in deep buttoned leather, then hand coloured & antiqued by a leather specialist. The mahogany legs are turned & reeded with original brass casters. This chaise has a lovely shaping, with some curvature along the base towards the right hand legs. The high end is generously scrolled over & the back rest is also curved on the top. This is quite a uniquely shaped chaise lounge & has generous proportions, with plenty of depth on the seat too. It’s in excellent condition & date from around the 1860-80’s period.
