Victorian C1860 walnut chaise longue sofa
Antique fine quality Victorian C1860 walnut chaise longue or conversation sofa. A beautiful statement piece of the finest quality.
Solid and strong, with no loose joints. Full of age, character and charm. This piece has been recently reupholstered and restored.
Would look great in the right location! Beautiful button back upholstery in a slightly mottled cream velour.
Overall maximum dimensions: 178cmW x 80cmD x 99cmH (38cmH seat when sat on).
In very good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks and repairs to the woodwork (nothing bad) forming a lovely patina, as is to be expected with functional antique furniture.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide a strong able-bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying. Just a few historic extinct woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure. There is one small mark (~1cm x 2cm) low down on the back which is barely noticeable (possibly a glue stain from the reupholstery). Replacement castors and leg extensions.
