This is a good quality Victorian two door wardrobe with beautiful burr walnut veneers to the front. It is in good condition and for moving and delivery it can split into three sections.

This wardrobe is one of the more desirable Victorian designs with a moulded cornice above two arched panelled doors all standing on a plinth base. The right door is fitted with a lock which comes with a key and there are brass catches to the left door. The four drawers inside have their original charming yellow glass knobs and an additional sign of quality (apart from the beautiful veneer and expensive glass handles) is the monogramme stamped 'improved 2 lever' lock.

There is plenty of storage space with a brass hanging rail to the left side and hooks to both sides. A rail could easily be added to the right if required. There are three short and one long drawers with unusual dovetail joints and the hanging sections are lined in a beige cotton fabric which the new owner may wish to consider removing or replacing. Te oak drawer linings are in good clean condition.

Condition

This is in good condition for its age and has a developed a nice colour. It has the usual minor losses/nibbles to the veneer on edges and scuffs to the plinth. There is some damages and repairs to the sides around the hinges and there is a patch of veneer rubbed away on the front left corner and some more veneer loss to the sides.

This item splits in 3 sections for moving the cornice, the main section (with the drawers and hanging space) and the plinth. In addition the doors can be removed.
