Superb quality Victorian Piano Top Pop Up davenport made from the finest burr walnut veneers. The top of the davenport has a very attractive pierced gallery which pops up then opens to reveal a sandalwood fitted interior for stationary. The piano top opens to reveal a 2 drawer interior, one contains the button for pop up top and an adjustable pull out writing/reading slope which retains the original green and gold tooled leather writing surface and an ebonised pen tray , lidded compartment and ink pot. The base has a panelled front flanked by top quality turned and carved decorative columns, 4 mahogany lined drawers all with turned knobs to the right and 4 false drawers having similar turned knobs to the left raised on white china castor. Wonderful colour and patination and in excellent condition ready to be put straight into your home
