A stunning Victorian burr walnut serpentine shaped credenza from the well respected workshops of Druce & Co. London. The top with inset kingwood cross banding between boxwood lines. The stepped frieze inlaid with various stained and imported woods. The large centre serpentine shaped door having a top quality marquetry inlaid panel set within boxwood lines and gilded brass mounts. The side doors with serpentine shaped plate glass, rope twist brass beading and boxwood stringing. The 4 stiles with superb turned and inlaid, ormolu mounted pillars and the whole standing on serpentine shaped plinth with conforming banding and stringing. Condition - Very good, all gilt brass mounts present and correct, with working locks and keys and the interiors retaining the original, but faded and worn, red velvet linings.
