Beautiful Victorian walnut and burr walnut Bon-Heur-Du-Jour inlaid with boxwood and kingwood crossbanding. Supported on cabriole legs with central drawer to base and original green leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. The top consisting of 2 banks of 3 inlaid drawers either side of a central mirrored door which opens to reveal the original velvet lining, with shelf and unusual locking pegs to side drawers. All original ormolu mounts and key. Lovely condition, cleaned and waxed.
Bears label of "Balls Foreman & Co" 170 Oxford St. London.
