Very narrow French marble top writing bureau or secretaire abattant. c.1920. Just 20½” wide. Original red marble top with shaped front and moulded edges. Over a working top drawer and two dummy drawer fronts which open to reveal a small writing bureau with a velvet writing surface and mahogany lined interior with four small stationery drawers. With three more working drawers below. Tulipwood parquetry veneers laid in symmetrical pattern across the front and sides. Large original brass handles and mounts to the shoulders and apron. Oak drawer linings and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
