This lovely piece of late 17th century oak came from the Norman church of St Nicholas in Little Saxham, Suffolk and is thought to have been used more recently as a rent table.

- Raised oak guard lip at the back.
- Central stretcher and legs in a refectory table style.
- Beautiful patina and colour to the shallow oak top.
- Heavy, sturdy piece.

Believed to be designed as a serving table and latterly used as a rent table, this will make a fabulous display table for heavier items such as sculptures or large vases. The wooden lip will prevent slips from the back edge and the shallow shelf is great for decorative pieces.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There have been some old repairs, made over time, but this a nice piece for any room.
