Two Large Imari Chargers c.1870. pair  Japanese Imari %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Superb pair of very large late 19th century Japanese Imari chargers or wall plates c.1870. Both measuring over 18″ diameter. One with a scalloped edge and large oriental scene at the centre in within a patterned border in green. The other divided in to eight patterned sections alternating architectural elements with stylised flower heads around a central floral motif. Further decoration to the rear of both pieces. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the edges. £375 for each plate.
Dimensions: diameter 18″.
