A lovely early 19th cent. Fruitwood and Brass mounted Clay Pipe Case, most probably Dutch,it has the original Brass mount on the top and lovely opening Hinge on the Toe.The stem is faceted and ring turned the mouthpiece is Brass and ring turned. On there base are a few remaining Brass Pins as often seen on Snuff Shoe decoration.I believe it dates from around c1800.Overall length is 27cms. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
