Here is a superb quality three piece art noveau walnut serpentine bergere cane suite, circa 1920 - 1930 in excellent condition.

Here is an excellent example of a superb quality art noveau three piece serpentine front antique bergere suite comprising two carver fireside armchairs and a matching three seater couch, circa 1920 – 1930. The suite is constructed of solid walnut. The suite features the original single panel cane work. The suite boasts a lovely curved shape from the back into the arms. The arms sweep over to the bottom of the frame. The base of the suite descends into cabriole legged lion paw feet at the front and sabre legs to the rear. There is a shaped frieze to the underside of the base. The suite is fitted with lose feather cushions which are all in good condition. The suite features the original sprung base. The suite seats up to five people comfortably.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the conservatory. This item would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

This suite is in excellent condition and is commensurate with age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The cane work is in excellent condition there is no damage or holes. The upholstery and cushions are clean. There is some minor wear / small splits to the seams of the cushions. This suite would benefit from being re-covered with a fabric that is to your liking. The frames of the couch and arms are solid in joint and ready to use.
