Here is a superb quality three-piece mahogany bergere cane suite, circa 1910 - 1920 in excellent condition.

Here is an excellent example of a superb quality three piece antique bergere suite comprising two carver fireside armchairs and a matching three seat couch, circa 1910 – 1920 originating from the post Edwardian period. The suite is constructed of solid mahogany. The suite features the original single panel cane-work to the sides of the arms and single panel cane work to the back. The suite boasts a lovely curved shape from the back into the sweeping scroll arms. The couch features central mahogany shaped splat and at the corners of the couch and armchairs are protruding ears. The base of the suite descends into decorative ball and lion claw carved feet at the front and sabre legs to the rear. The suite is fitted with removable gold and cream damask feather cushions that are all in excellent condition. Cream rope braiding finishes off the upholstery around the frame of the suite. The suite features a sprung base below. The suite seats up to five people comfortably. This is a very comfortable suite due to the deep design of the frame.
