This is a lovely gilt and tooled leather stationery box. The interior is lined in its original brocade fabric. The handle and latch are brass. The leather is in excellent condition. The gilt in the lid is wearing but the gilt in the front panels is in very good condition. The lock, though worn with age and use, is working and the key is also original.
