A charming 19th century oil on canvas of a dog and hog having an altercation in a farmyard, whilst another pig hides in the barn to the background. Unsigned.

The canvas varnish has darkened a little but otherwise the work remains in a good condition. The work is housed in a later gilt frame which shows signs of wear commensurate with age, which sits well with the tone of the painting.

Faded canvas stamp verso, with only 'London' legible.
