Tete-a-Tete', David Chambers, Origin
'Tête-à-Tête' is an original, oil on board painting by the renowned marine and equine artist David Chambers.
A classic scene of red versus blue, two steam ships appear to race each other. Conjuring images of competition and victory, are these two vessels measuring their abilities against each other, or trying to get to a prime fishing ground first? A beautiful quality, this painting allows you to interpret and ask questions of it ad libitum.
The wake of each ship is captured beautifully, with displaced aqua blues showing depth and an appreciation of lighting inherent in David's works. The effort expended is rendered in thick plumes of dark smoke, and add a sombre contrast to the cool blue balance of the painting.
Worldwide, David's work provides collectors with excellent investment potential. His mastery of the subject dictates that the classic 'Turneresque' nature of his craft will be sought-after for generations to come. Each painting is signed by the artist for authenticity.
