Here we have a wonderful George II Walnut and Fruitwood side hall or lamp table c1740. As you can see the table has super colour and patina. There is a wonderful single piece English Walnut top which tilts. There is an impression left on the underside of of the table from the top of the stem. This informs us that the top is original to the base. The base has a possibly original piece of vellum or leather to the top next to the catch receiver. The stem is well tuned from a lovely rich piece of fruitwood. The flat well shaped silhouette legs are typical of the period and of simple country antique tables. A beautiful rare survivor as being fruitwood and Walnut so many of these antique tables have disappeared through worm and washed stone floors. The table is in wonderful retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx top 16.5 inches and 27 inches high.
