A stunning Swedish Biedermeier satin birch open bookcase. This was recently imported from Sweden, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of outstanding quality and has a beautiful, useful design. It has an lovely feature in which the top can slide across either way to reveal divided storage space, there is plenty of storage space in the shelving below. This stands on elegant splayed sabre legs, and has some beautiful inlaid designs on the sides. The back is nicely polished as well, so this an be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb. The satin birch colour tones and grain patterns are absolutely gorgeous.
