A magnificent Roll Top Desk in red walnut. The desk has panelled sides and back, all deeply fielded, and a superb interior with 30 drawers and 8 cubby holes. The handles in the base are beautifully carved and it has a tray above each flight of drawers, which are lined in ash. The kneehole has 8 panels and the desk itself has 4 panels to each side. The keyhole escutcheon is stamped "The Arvon".

This is the best example we have seen of this type of desk and the standard of workmanship is outstanding. The carving to the handles and the decorative moulding above the roll top and to the back of the desk are testament to the craftsmanship involved in its production.
