Superb Trompe L'oeil Still Life Oil Painting
We are offering for sale this superb trompe l'oeil still life by an unknown artist. The painting depicts a group of objects on a carved oak table. There are two vases, one with incised decoration and a small one of baluster form and a wirework bust containing a broken egg shell and a whole egg sitting next to the small vase.
The painting is very much in the style of Frederick Clifford Harrison (1901-1984) and Christopher John Harrison born 1945. Their trompe l'oeil paintings of pottery and porcelain and other items, achieve very high prices.
Unfortunately, as the painting is unsigned, we can offer no biographical information about the artist, save to say that the execution is excellent.
The painting has been newly framed in a very complimentary 3 1/2" cream and speckled painted frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Frame size 26 1/2" x 22 1/2" - 67.25cm x 57.1cm

Condition Excellent condition. Canvas clean and taut with no craquelure, stretcher marks or paint loss. The frame is new.
