A Superb Quality Pedestal Desk made by Maple and Company London by Royal Appointment.The desk is in Mahogany, the top has a carved edge with leather inserts of Green tooled in Gold, there are 9 drawers with original brass handles, the corners have blind fret work, it stands on short cabriole legs with ball and claw feet, the back is polished so can stand in the centre of the room. This is a top quality desk from the period by a highly regarded maker.The condition is excellent throughout.
