A superb quality golden oak carved settle, hall seat or monk's bench. The wonderfully carved back with a large oval humorously carved panel with a donkey pulling a chariot, 4 dancing ladies and playful putti.
The seat lifts to reveal a useful storage area and the carved open arm supports are in the form of mythical scaled creatures. The base with further decorative carving and all in good original condition. Dimensions :- Height…48’’/ 122cm. Width…48’’/ 122cm. Depth…17’’/ 43cm. Seat Height…18’’/ 45.5cm.
