A splendid burr walnut bookcase, or display cabinet, of slender proportions in the George I style. Very well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The top section has a single glazed door which opens (lockable, key supplied) to access a painted and shelved interior. Ideal for displaying books or alternatively valuables. The base section has a single drawer with lovely brass drop handles over a pair of cupboard doors which open to access storage space. The whole piece is surmounted by a glorious broken arch pediment adorned with a central carved crest. We have had this piece sympathetically repolished in our workshops. It is now offered for sale in excellent overall condition with a wonderful warm colour an patina,
