A unique and top quality scale model of a spiral staircase made in the 1890's by Henry Woods of Hethersett, Norwich. This bespoke model is made from solid mahogany, it has 16 treads and 16 ring turned balustrades and a particularly well turned newel post. The very complicated and difficult to make handrail is superb and really exhibits the maker's skill. The circular base with moulded frieze and 4 turned feet. Another unusual feature is the treads and rises being panelled from the underside. In very good condition, with no damage or repairs. Sizes- Height...101cm. Diameter...51cm.
