This fine 19th Century breakfront chiffonier has some of the best rosewood graining you are likely to find. It has a pretty upstand back with shelf the latter supported by well detailed carved bracket supports. There are three cupboards to use for storage, each with shelf. The centre section of this breakfront sideboard / chiffonier has a drawer above it as can be seen in one of the pictures. It is a really good size too at 54ins wide and could suit a space where a deeper example might give a bit of restriction. The sides only stand from the wall 14 1/2 inches with a further 3 1/2 inches for the centre breakfront.
The detail is excellent, from the carvings to the slim pillars by the side of the central door to the arched panels on the side doors. It is in excellent condition just having been French polished which of course brought out the impressive graining. This chiffonier has good colour and can sit with mahogany of course even if the other antique furniture in you room is not rosewood. Very impressive and most useful and a great size. Pictures are not really doing this justice. We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
