Superb 1901 Barraclough Arts & Crafts SILVER Bowl

A Superb Heavy (~ 865 gms 30.5oz) Hallmarked Solid Silver Bowl made during the Arts and Crafts movement.
This lovely item typifies the Arts & Crafts design principles by forging the decorative with the utilitarian, seamlessly merging aesthetic appeal, fine workmanship and functionality.
Beautifully hand hammered, featuring three sinuous organic fronds as handles, each splitting at either end to attach to the bowl and base in leaf form.
The bowl is hallmarked with the date letter 'f' for London 1901 and the maker's initials J.H.B. over H.B. for James Henry and Herbert Barraclough. The underside is marked Z. Barraclough & Sons, LEEDS and registered number 373470.
This is an exceptional and quite rare example of Arts & Crafts Silver which will look stunning in either a period or contemporary setting.
