A superb early 19th French Empire period mahogany and ormolu-mounted 'cheval' or dressing mirror. Of substantial size and excellent quality. The frame of rich coloured and well figured flame mahogany with turned and tapering column supports. Fitted with wonderful quality chased ormolu urn surmounts with ormolu leaf/wreath and floret design surrounds. With a pair of candle sconces (later wired for electricity). Original mercury plate pivoting in centre ,and standing upon original gilded brass castors . Offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home.
NB. Wiring not tested.
