Stunning Victorian Farmhouse Armchair
A wonderful 19th Century beech and elm farmhouse armchair of beautifully comfortable form, purchased from a North Ceredigion cottage. Featuring a pretty shaped back splats, well turned legs and superbly grained single slab saddled elm seat.
Strong and stable with outstanding original finish and in exceptional condition. A very comfortable and highly attractive country chair. This chair is a personal favourite and offers the very best in what makes country antique furniture so desirable.
This design originated in the Thames valley and was copied around the UK and by many joiner carpenters and due to their comfortable and robust design appeared in a large number of homes especially in West Wales.
