Stunning Regency Bloor Derby Mughal Dessert Dish

A late Georgian Derby porcelain shallow dish with a glorious Indian / Persian Mughal inspired pattern with three shaped segments painted with lotus flowers in pink, yellow and green enamel and highlighted in black. Alternating with these panels are areas with a gilded background, reserving stylised flowers and foliage, edged and shaded with red enamel, along with scrolls and circles. The central circular reserve is framed with gilded half marigolds inside small red scrolled sections and a wide red enamelled band edges the plate and it is finished with a gilded rim. Red painted mark to the base and decorators' numbers 28 and 52.
It measures 19.4cm (7 5/8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Minor handling wear. The surface is very finely crazed as is typical of Derby of this period but there is no discolouration. The gilding on the rim has been very carefully refreshed and displays beautifully. We are now taking a few days off for Christmas, back on the 5th of January. Wishing all our customers a very Happy Christmas!!
Orders can still be placed and queries will be answered as time allows.
