Staffordshire Crimean War Jug c1860
For sale we have a hard to find Staffordshire Crimean War related Staffordshire jug circa 1860.
The jug is very attractively decorated with a with raised design of two soldiers, one on each side resting on his riffle amongst trees. These jugs were manufactured post Crimean War and sold to raise funds to support veterans of the Crimean War. Good examples are very hard to find.
This particular jug is 6 inches (15cm) high and is in a lovely condition with no chips or repairs and only a couple of stress cracks between the handle and the body of the jug
