Unusually small French Empire style marble top console table c.1840. Just 33" wide. Black marble top with tiny white fossils embedded within. Walnut veneered base with a single drawer in the frieze. Symmetrically arranged veneers and original inlaid brass escutcheon to the drawer front, chestnut drawer linings. Turned column front legs with chased brass mounts top and bottom and square column legs at the rear. Raised on a open plinth or display shelf with short feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
