An elegant small sized antique Victorian mahogany desk or writing table, dating from circa 1860. Good quality with a beautiful and stylish design the over-sailing rectangular top has an inset tooled red leather writing surface above a single drawer with original turned handles, brass thread escutcheon and working brass lock with key. The sides are decorated with elegant scrollwork and it stands on nicely turned and tapered legs culminating in brass and ceramic Cope and Collinson casters. A good sized desk at only 91cm wide, but still offering plenty of work space and storage.

Solid and sturdy, Good original condition with good colour and patina. Scuffs, wear and marks commensurate with age. Some ring marks to the writing surface.
