Beautiful George III Sheraton style mahogany serpentine front sideboard c.1790. Useful small size, just under five feet wide. Well figured solid mahogany top with inlaid and crossbanded edges. Over a long centre drawer flanked with two smaller drawers on both sides. Shapely front with convex and concave drawer fronts veneered in symmetrically arranged flame mahogany with inlaid and crossbanded edges and period brass handles. Curved parquetry work fan spandrels below the middle drawer and inlaid harebells on the upper portions of the front stiles. Mahogany veneered sides and raised on tapering square legs with inlaid stringing to the corners. Some wear and repairs to the veneers. Generally very good condition and particularly good colour to the front. Cleaned restored and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
