Superb quality Sheraton revival mahogany open side cabinet or bookcase by the celebrated English cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts of London c.1890. Just 21″ wide, with a single oak lined drawer over an open cabinet fitted with an adjustable shelf (internal depth 13″). Fine quality Sheraton style parquetry inlays across the top front and sides of the piece. Note the sparkling satinwood veneered ground to the front and rear stiles, rosewood crossbanded edges and inlaid ebony stringing. Original gilded brass drop handles. Raised on short tapering legs with spade feet. Stamped Edwards & Roberts on the top of the drawer front. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
