A good quality antique 3 drawer chest in the biedermeier style in beautifully figured mahogany veneers, standing on bracket dating from circa 1850. The moulded top is in a quarter veneer with flame figured veneers to the shaped drawer fronts with oval brass handles. Continental in origin, North European most likely French. The key does not work – for decoration only.

Condition Report:
Good condition. Lovely warm patina to mahogany. Wear and marks commensurate with age. This chest would have originally had 4 drawers and at some point in its life it has been made into a 3 height chest. Handles are later additions (would originally have had no handles) these are georgian handles, so period and work well with the piece. Some marks where other handles have been added and removed over the years.
