Very attractive little William IV bow fronted mahogany bachelor’s chest of drawers c.1835. Mahogany veneered top with a crossbanded and inlaid edge over four long oak lined drawers of graduated depth. Drawer fronts with beautiful flame mahogany veneers cleverly arranged so the grain curves alternatively left and right. Boxwood stringing, cockbeaded edges and large crisply turned mahogany knobs. Further stringing and crossbanded detail below the drawers and a curving apron, all of which are continued on the sides. Neat outswept feet to the front legs. Excellent colour and condition, restored cleaned and polished in our workshops.
