A very stylish period Art Deco pedestal desk in burr walnut with bookcase sides dating from circa 1930s and retailed by Elliston & Cavell. Small but perfectly formed, unusually shaped and with beautifully figured burr walnut veneer to the top sides and back, this piece would look great in the centre of a room. An unusual shape, with angled corners it has 1 large drawer flanked by 2 smaller drawers, all with brass drop handles (not original) and bookcase sides with shelves. A good quality piece in good condition. To the inside of the drawer is label for the department store: “Elliston & Cavell Ltd Oxford”.

Walnut / Walnut veneer
Condition Report:
Good condition. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Small piece of veneer missing to side, small dent to one corner otherwise very good. Good colour and patina. The pedestals screw in to the base.
