This is a small antique apprentice chest of drawers. An English, oak decorative caddy, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.
Charming decorative example of apprentice furniture
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Arranged as a pair of small drawers over two of full width
Each dressed with small circular pulls, framed with fluted carving detail
Shaped, brass faux escutcheons to each drawer fascia — key absent
Standing upon a quartet of squat bun feet beneath a shallow, tapering plinth
