A really wonderful clean example of an early 17th century plank Oak Coffer, it has an excellent colour and patina, as well as being of good neat proportions. This is an excellent piece of early period oak antique furniture, with an attractive lock escutcheon, the lock being in place, and attractive dental carving to the sides of the top.
