Interesting set of 6 mid 19th.c. French oak dining chairs c.1840. Unusually shaped backs with foliate carved detail, buttoned upholstery with a generously proportioned seat raised on turned and reeded legs. Solid oak frames bleached and weathered to very attractive rustic look. Solid and sturdy with serviceable upholstery in a soft red velvet. Some replacement castors.
